Former "Spin City" star Charlie Sheen is in negotiations to star in a comedy pilot for CBS.

The pickup of "Two and a Half Men," which is being produced by Warner Bros. TV, is contingent on casting, according to The Hollywood Reporter. If Sheen does agree to star, it would likely improve the show's chances by quite a bit.

The comedy focuses on a bachelor who's forced to change his ways when his brother and young nephew move in with him. Chuck Lorre ("Dharma & Greg"), Lee Aronsohn ("Cybill") and Eric Lapiduss wrote the script.

Sheen played the lead role on "Spin City" for the ABC show's final two seasons, stepping in after Michael J. Fox left. He has roles in two feature films scheduled for the fall -- "The Big Bounce," based on an Elmore Leonard novel, and "Scary Movie 3."

In other pilot news, The WB has picked up an untitled comedy starring rapper/actor Bow Wow ("Like Mike" ). He will play a high-school teacher who's the same age as his students. Felicia Henderson ("Soul Food," "The Parkers") will write and executive produce the pilot, which comes from Paramount.
